Much To Write About Casey...
I've been working on Casey's personal statement for dental school for over a month now, and for most of that month I've been plagued with the worse case of writer's block. It's a vile beast and one that's difficult to slay. But as I sat down after my afternoon workout, it struck me all of a sudden and I was able to hammer out the remaining couple of paragraphs. This wasn't the first personal statement I've written for a friend, but I think it will probably be the last. It has often been said that you can only write what you know. So writing a personal statement for someone else is not exactly the easiest thing. In the past, I've written statements for close friends and generally, my knowledge of them is sufficient. But in this case, it turns out that despite our long lived friendship, I actually didn't know that much about Casey. I had to actually sit down and do a mini-interview with her in order to gather the crucial information I needed. But now that that's all over, it's smooth sailing until my frist day of work.
